Tips on building the perfect Slotbox®!
Every MILLIMETER counts, so please take the time to follow these instructions to use the Slotbox sucessfully.
1) Pop out the tabs
2) PRE-FOLD the CREASE lines of the BOX. This softens up the cardboard and helps the box to fold easily.
3) On the side panels - there are two lines of perforated dots =============== Ensure you fold a nice smooth FLAT EDGE between these dots.
4) Ensure tabs have cleared the slots.
5) Once packed, square up the box and securely tape closed
6) Tada! A box to send as Oversize Lettermail
A properly folded, not overstuffed, securely taped shut Slotbox in a paper envelope is 18.5mm deep and easily clears the Canada Post 20mm slot template.
Please take the time to properly fold and tape the box closed.
More tips….
A) Its a sturdy little box so go easy on the tissue paper/packing inside, you do not want an overstuffed box.
B) Place a small piece of double sided tape is adhered to one side of the box prior to inserting it into the envelope. This bit of tape will do 2 things, first it will keep the box in the middle of the envelope, second it will reduce the puffing out of the envelope - ensuring a clean pass through the Canada Post 2cm template slot.
